The writing is very small making it seem more formal and giving more information. This use of USA in the background gives a sense of big thing happening. The story is about how Florence Welsh has been made succsessful in America.

The body language of the photo is powerful. With the way she is sitting on the American flag like she has conquered it. Her harsh black outfit with black high heels, portrays she is feminine but intimidating at the same time. She is looking straight at the camera, giving her a more aggressive, challenging look.

By the way the font is laid out it looks like NME wanted us to think it said 'USA got the love', which may mean that Florence and the Machine is now selling her albumns in America and is an up and coming star in the USA.
